The moon is enchanting, beautiful, and holds so much power. Moonstone is honored to be named after it. With its beautiful moonlight-like white glow and soft appearance, it closely resembles the moon itself.

Origin:

This gemstone is found in Burma, Brazil, India, Sri Lanka, and the USA.

Properties:

The moon is closely tied to femininity, and therefore, Moonstone also influences feminine energy and fertility. It promotes pregnancy, harmonizes the hormone balance, and helps with menstrual issues. Cleaning and Care:

Bring Moonstone back to its friend, the full moon, and it will shine when you retrieve it, as the full moon cleanses the stone. A minimum of one day in the moonlight is sufficient (behind glass is fine). Another way to cleanse your stone is to rinse it with water and then place it on an Amethyst crystal or geode. The finely dispersed iron atoms and the energy concentration in Amethyst give it a powerful, fiery aura that deeply neutralizes and cleanses the stones from absorbed energy and information. After about two hours, the Moonstone will be sufficiently cleansed, but if you feel that both you and the stone require a deeper cleanse, feel free to leave it on the Amethyst for a week or longer. The stone will not be damaged.

You can charge the Moonstone by placing it in a bowl with Clear Quartz tumbled stones. This crystal strengthens the energy within the stone.
